This course will build the learner’s understanding of Indigenous health, community wellness and cultural safety to promote equity in health care practice. In this course, learners will examine historical relationships that affect health outcomes, Indigenous models of healing, and tools for allyship. The course will deepen the learner’s compassion for other’s lived experience in healthcare, nurture their own inquisitive nature, and cultivate an engaging partnership with the facilitator.
